Software as a Service (SaaS)

Software as a Service (SaaS) is a model of software deployment whereby a provider licenses an application to customers for use as a service rather a product. That is, software vendors host, operate and maintain the application on their own servers for customers to access to simplify deployment and reduce customer acquisition costs.
