Straight-Through Processing

Straight- through processing (STP) is a solution for automating and integrating the end-to-end message processing across all applications, systems, and organisations.

For financial organisations, STP is used to allow message that have been electronically entered to be transferred from one proprietary system to another in the settlement process without involving manual intervention or message repair. This reduces the time taken by the entire trading process, decreasing settlement risk and lowering operating costs.
