Synergy was invited to offer a message solution to Royal Bank of Canada. RBC has an Equities trading system called Fidessa. An automated SWIFT message creation module was required to produce MT54x series messages from Fidessa’s proprietary data feed.

Solutions

Synergy proposed its web browser based messaging application-MessageMaker. Trade instructions from each record within a csv file are extracted and merged with user defined templates to create an internal XML structure. This XML is then transformed via user-defned rules into SWIFT MT540, 541,542 and 543 series. Once created, these messages are validated and sent to MessageMaker for verification and subsequently released to Logica Bess.

Conclusion

It worked successfully as Fidessa generated instructions that were then printed and manually input to MessageMaker to create MT54x messages.
